Stella McCartney for Gap Kids

Last weekend, I popped in to Gap for some Christmas shopping. I don’t normally check out the kids section because for some reason they’re expensive in this part of the world (all of Gap, not just kids). And that’s their in-house collection, I’m not even talking about their partnerships with famous fashion designers.

Side note: I really don’t know why they’re expensive in Asia (or at the very least Singapore and Philippines). It’s been years since I’ve been to US but if I remember correctly, Gap wasn’t this expensive. Was it?

Anyhoo, we came through the entrance by the kids section when I saw the Stella McCartney for GapKids collection and this jacket caught my eye:

Here’s a closer look:

Isn’t it gorgeous? Not really practical for kids (growth spurts anyone?) and with the price tag it came with, a definite splurge. But like the cute kid in the first photo, it would look darling on a little boy or girl.

Ditsy Tea Dress by Dorothy Perkins

Passed by the mall earlier looking for a long rocker-esque shirt and ended up fitting several items (which were totally off the rocker-esque theme by the way) at Dorothy Perkins. This one particular dress I liked was called the Black/White Ditsy Tea Dress (Ditsy?). It fit great and was very lightweight, perfect for the weather in Singapore. Perfect for the office and perfect for Sunday brunch or casual dinner with the girls…

NO, I didn’t buy it… uhm, yet. It was a bit too pricey for me so I’m thinking it over. Doing the if-it’s-still-there-tomorrow-then-it’s-meant-to-be-so-I-guess-I-should-buy-it tactic. Well, maybe not tomorrow. Giving it a few days to see if I can live without it. So far, it’s not going well since as you can see I’m obviously thinking about it… hence the blogging (at 12:01 am at that!).

Let me sleep on it.

Street Styles

More online viewing pleasure for the fashionistas out there:

Stylesightings

The Street Walker

Street Style London

Street Peeper

Citizen Couture

The Sartorialist

These are more street fashion, everyday people captured in all their funky and stylish selves. I find these type of sites more “educational” than that of those quote-unquote fashion sites.

Enjoy!
