The black leather tote caught my eye on Net-a-porter.com (where else?). It's by an American designer named Reed Krakoff. I haven't heard of this designer before but according to his write-up on the site, he worked for Ralph Lauren and Coach and just debuted his eponymous ready-to-wear label.
So far, this leather tote tops my list from his collection. According to the site, it's a black textured leather tote with a tab-fastening front flap, two top handles, gunmetal hardware, a wrap-around stud-fastening tab at handle, magnetic fastening pocket at back with metal feet and is fully lined in black fabric. It also comes in light brown suede with leather trim. Both styles retail at £821.28. Sigh.
